Contemporary Dance of Cuba, founded in 1959, organizes the Cuba Dance Workshop 2017 where professional dancers and students have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge. This edition has a two-week work program that includes subjects such as: Technique of Modern Cuban Dance, Cuban Folk and Traditional Dance, Cuban Folklore, Choreography Workshops, Bar Technique, Lectures and Methodology for Teaching Modern Cuban Dance.

The carnival of Havana offers a spectacular display of music, dancing, conga lines, colourful costumes and fireworks. The parades run along the Malecón and traditional music competes with more contemporary sounds.

World famous American musician of Canadian origin; will perform two concerts in Havana. One private event in the Theatre of the Museum of Fine Arts; and another one open to the public in the Mella Theatre in Vedado. The Gran Fondo Tour Cuba will consist of two events in one. The first event is a Criterium Race that will be held on Saturday, October 21st, in a closed 2.48 miles / 4 km circuit in the world famous Malecón. The second event is some 40.38 miles / 65 km police escorted Gran Fondo Tour that will be held on Sunday, October 22nd, starting at Malecón then traveling around Havana City and finishing at La Piragua next to the City’s famous Hotel Nacional.

Participants must possess a National Elite / Amateur / Cycling license from a UCI affiliated federation.

The Ministry of Tourism, Palmares S.A. and Varadero Golf Club invite you to participate in the 9^th edition of this international elite golf event.

The “CUBA GOLF GRAND TOURNAMENT” convenes professional or amateur players over 18 years old with a certified handicap of: 24 or under for men; and 30 or under for ladies. There will be one practice round and two competition rounds, disputing three prizes per category.

Jardines del Rey, surrounded by green-blue sea with a magical natural environment is well-known for its water sports and fishing potential. This important fishing tournament will be governed by the rules of the IGFA.

The competition covers an area of up to 3 miles north-northeast between Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo in the Old Bahamas Channel.

The organizers of the contest will award the highest score, the first catch and the largest (gold award of the tournament).

Marabana 2017 will be held on the third Sunday of November in the context of very significant dates for Cuban sports and the city of Havana. These days reflect the “National Day of Physical Culture and Sport”, “Foundation of the City of San Cristobal of Havana” and it’s proclamation by UNESCO as World Heritage.

In Marabana, the championship is open to all runners and walkers, professional or non- professional, disabled, at distances of 42 km full marathon, 21 km half marathon and 10 kilometres.
